【Nagaragawa Railway】

Nagaragawa Tetsudou is a local railway line located in Gifu Prefecture, Japan.It connects Mino-ŌtaStation to Hokunō Station, covering a distance of approximately 72.1 kilometers.This railway line runs alongside the beautiful Nagaragawa River, which is how it got its name. The predecessor of the Nagaragawa Railway was the JR Etsumi South Line, which was taken over by the Nagaragawa Railway Co., Ltd.
in 1986, becoming a local railway. This railway attracts many travelers due to its beautiful natural scenery and rural landscapes, making it extremely suitable for slow travel. Along the way, you can enjoy the distinct seasonal scenery, such as cherry blossoms in spring, lush green mountains in summer, autumn leaves in fall, and snowy landscapes in winter. In addition, there are many famous attractions and activities along the railway, including the traditional streets of Gujo Hachiman, the Gujo Odori Dance Festival, and hands-on experiences in making local crafts such as kimonos and washi paper. 【Gujo Hachiman】
Gujo Hachiman is located in central Gifu Prefecture, Japan. It is an ancient town rich in history and culture, in which is renowned for its well-preserved traditional architecture and natural scenery. One of the main features of Gujo Hachiman is its winding alleys and clear water systems. The town has an extensive network of waterways, earning it the nickname "The Water City."The local "Sogi Spring" is one of Japan's Top 100 Famous Waters, attracting many visitors who come specifically to experience it.

Another cultural experience not to be missed is the Gujo Odori (郡上おどり), a traditional dance festival that has been held for over 400 years. It takes place from July to September each year. During the "Tetsuya Odori" (徹夜踊り) in August, visitors and locals can dance together all night long, immersing themselves in the rich local cultural atmosphere. Entry fees and transportation are covered in your tour registration fee. However, the dinner is not included. If you would like to have meals at your own expense or need suggestions, please discuss with the tour guide.

1. The schedule and itinerary may be changed due to unpredictable factors such as traffic and weather.
2. The reservation will be automatically cancelled if no payment is received by December 1st, 2024.
3. A minimum of 8 people is required to operate a tour. If the minimum is not reached, the tour will be cancelled and a noticed with method of refund will be sent to the registrants from December 1st, 2024.
4. If participants cancel the reservation for personal reasons, the cancelation charge will be applied as below: From December 5th, 2024: Nonrefundable.
5. If the attraction is invisible due to weather conditions, the tour will not be canceled and fees will not be refunded.
6. Participants should follow the tour guide’s instructions; HEF and the tour guide are not responsible for participants’ leave without notice and personal activities.
7. The tour bus will not wait for any personal excuse.If you do not show up on time, the bus won’t wait for you. No refunds will be issued in any case.
